Once upon a time there was a child who wanted to meet God.
He knew that it would be a long trip to the place where
he
lived so filled his suitcase with
chocolate and six coca
colas and left. After about three blocks he met an old
woman sitting in the park watching the pigeons. The child
sat down beside her and opened the case. He was about to
give her a drink of a coca cola when he noticed that the
woman seemed to be starving so he offered her a piece of
chocolate. She accepted gratefully and smiled. Her smile
was so beautiful that the child wanted to see it again and
so offered her a coca cola and she smiled again. How
happy he was! They passed the whole afternoon eating and smiling
but no one uttered a word. It was getting dark and the
little one was tired and made to go home but after a few
steps he turned, ran towards the woman and gave her a hug.
She gave him the biggest smile ever. When the child opened
the door of his house a little while later, his mother was
surprised to see in his face an expression of happiness.
Good heavens, “What have you been doing today that you are
so happy?” He replied, “Oh, I had lunch with God” and before
his mother could reply, added, “You know something? He has
the most beautiful smile that I have ever seen!” In the
meantime, the old woman, also happy, returned home. Her son
was surprised at her face and heavens above, “Mother, what
have you been doing today that you are so happy?” and she,
“Oh, I ate chocolate with God in the park”, and before he
could reply she added, “You know what, he’s much younger
than I expected.”
