When I first saw the title I was objiously drawn to Mr Bob Marley however I bought the book even though it had
absolutely
nothing to do with the infamous musician. The coverpage features a really cute Labrador pup so I thought I would give it a try.
The story relates how the author and his wife went to have a look at a litter of puppies and when they saw Marley it was love at first sight. However, they should have heard warning-bells right there and then when the owner offered them the pup at a reduced price. But no, this was not the case. So Marley entered their lives from that moment.
The story continues with Marley eating
absolutely anything that could fit into his mouth and created chaos around the house he also had a lovely side to him. When the couple went through their first miscarriage, Marley helped them through with his loyal and loving way.
In one part of the book there is an absolutely hilarious part when Marley is sent off to be trained in
obedience however he even managed to be booted out of obedience class when he decided to drag his trainer across a carpark ....this will have you in stitches of laughter.
Even thought this little dog was as bold as brass he landed a small part in a movie/video and through thick and thin, Marley managed to wiggle his way into the affections of his owners, eventually. This book is a light read and will give you a great laugh.
