India is a vast country with diversity of religious. Here different communities has their own traditions and rituals. A marriage
is an important function prevalent among all. It is scared union of two souls where two different families come together to share their common happiness and sorrows.
An Indian wedding is fixed with the mutual consent of both the parties. A convenient is fixed and preparations are made. They make necessary purchase and get the invitation cards printed. Then they are dispatched to their friends and relatives. Religioue ceremonies start before the fixed day. On the bride's side , suitable arrangement are made for the marriage party. A lot of money is spent on decoration.The marriage party leaves for the bride's house. The bridegroom rides on a decorated mare. As the party proceeds, people dance and sing to the tune of the band. Everybody is in a gala mood The marriage party is welcomed majestically. They are served with the tasty refreshment and sweet dishes. Then the Jaimala cermoney starts. People clap and shower flower. After some time people enjoy the tasty dinner. Then the Phere ceremoney starts and pandit chant mantras before the fire. It too has religious sanctity. The doli leaves in the early hours of the morning. The parents, the relatives, and the friends of the bride give a heart feeling farewell to the bridegroom and his parents.

    This ia a very nice abstract about Indian cultur i.e. Wedding.Because in our India, wedding is a most important step in life and this abatract show a good picture of our culture.Great job Lukshmi let's continue.

    you have brought home to internet readers about the indian marriage.Four points to be noted in indian marrigages are (1)individual union:between two people ie wedded husband and wife (2)religious:here both husband and wife lived separately for the whole life. now they are union for the rest of the life (3)social commitments:marriage is a social commitments also.It is during wedding day that distance people in india come together.people who have gone and lived far apart join the wedding to make their commitments and reunion.
