Lestat, the well loved lavish and outgoing
vampire that paraded himself in the previous vampire
chronicles is back. And he
is so much better than ever.
Lestat grown tired of being a
vampire, he longs to be human again, and when presented with such a chance he jumps right in. Lestat learns how to swap bodies.... with a human. He takes great pleasure (and displeasure) in learning the joys of being human. I personally enjoyed the peeing standing up bit but I can't really tell you much more as it really would spoil such a good laugh. However, something Lestat doesn't count on... Lestat has to go on a long journey finding the body theif. And on the way he does some very interesting things with a nun (?)
The imagery in this book is amazing, the story enthralling, and the jokes laugh aloud funny. And there is even a rather good theme of how humans are like vampires which I studied for an English essay. I would recomend this book to anyone. Whether you have read the vampire
chronicles or not this is a fantastic read and will make you want to seek out more Anne Rice.
