The Perfume is a very creative book. It is written with a great jargon
of words, wihout coming across as over the top or false. It places the
reader into a fantasy world in the old France. There grew up a little
bastard whose story is described. He has an immense distinctive scent
of smell and is very perverse. He does not develop splendidly and his
surroundings suffer under him. Patrick Süsskind knows how to, in an
extreme and interesting way, sketch the main character and to make the
readers shudder. The famous book is not unwrongly favoured and when
someone is asked: What is your favourite book.. the answer is oftern:
