center is second novel of Chetan Bhagat who is famous for his first bestseller Five Point Someone. This is really a fun
going,
youth centered book. The author knows the way of writing, which youth like with his
simple but attractive writing. In this the author also tried to give a picture of the
problems faced by the call center employees.
This is the story of six people out of which three are guys and three are gals. All of them work together in a call center and are all
messed up with different problems:
Shyam (the narrator) and Priyanka had a strong affair but now broken up. Shyam thinks he is a total loser. Actually, Bakshi, his manager, with his management theories never let him to feel confident about him.
Vroom loves automobiles, eating pizza, going out with girls…but he doesn’t know how to maintain a stronger, longer true relationship with a girl. And he is totally unhappy at what he is.
Esha is very much interested in modeling but now is suffering from a ‘real mental pain’ that she can’t share with everyone.
Radhika is married but she too is facing problems with her husband and mother in law.
And finally there is military uncle who is not even allowed to send e-mail to his own grandson.
So, everything was messed up. No one was happy. Nothing was going right till……that night! That night they received a phone call from god. Then what happened? Is there any change?
Read the book for answers. The flow of the book is simple. Although the end looks somewhat unrealistic, it is well written. This will touch the readers with its freshness, funny incidents, simple characters.
