The crown is a very
ancient thing and its
wearing considered a mark of honour and dignity. Even in ancient times, When man

It was the custom among the greeks taht the man who returned after performing some heroic exploit decked his head with the branch of palm tree. Some historians think that the first man to wear the crown was Namaroid, King of Babylon. wearing cowries in their crowns.
They added to the number of cowries every year which showed how many years had elapsed since their accession to the throne.
