Princess

Book Review by: freyin12

Original Author: Jean P. Sasson
This is a book written by Jean P. Sasson. The author befriended  a royal princess from Saudi Arabia. This
is her story.   Although born in a royal family with lots of money and wealth to indulge in, the princess herself is a very thoughtful person. She knows what she wants since young, unlike her sisters who follow the wishes of the ''men of the family''. The princess, being a friendly person, sees many injustices being done to women in her household and her country. Just because women are consider a class lower then men in her country, even royal princesses are considered lowered than the princes.  The princess herself narrated the events and even describes what happened back during her grandfather''s days to help the readers understand the background of her culture.   The books has a sad tone, but beneath that, you can laugh at the silly pranks the princess played on her ''beloved'' brother whom she hates.   To me, this is an eye opener, getting to know the culture of another part of the world, so near yet so far away.
