Was there Holy Spirit then? Has been Holy Spirit involved in creation of this world? What if people don’t have Holy Spirit? Is Holy Spirit and God only one? These are the pertinently relevant questions that should be taken into account. Even Christian people, some of them, didn’t know what the most purpose of Holy Spirit is. On this part 1 we will know what “The Person of the Holy Spirit” is. The Holy Spirit is a person and is the third member of the trinity. And there are some personal activities given to him:
Teaches. In John 14:26 stated that “But the counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
Reproves. In John 16:8 stated that “when he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment.”
Guides. In John 16:13 stated that “but when he, the spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own: He speak only what he hears and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Helps our infirmities and intercedes. In Romans 8:26 “in the same way, the spirit help us in our weaknesses.
We do not know what we ought to pray for, but spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. “
Can be grieved. In Ephesians 4:30 stated that “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
Sanctifies. In Romans 15:16 stated that “to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the gentiles with the priestly duty of proclaiming the gospel of god, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.”
In this part 1 we have learned the personal activities given thereof. Holy Spirit is also God in other personalities. In the next part thereof we will know the Holy Spirit possesses God-Like attributes, different name of the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit in conversion, and symbols of the spirit. Some question mentioned-above will be answered in detailed breakdown for the part 2.
