CEO Course for Party Members
Twelve prominent Party members from private enterprises (PEs) in Chengdu’s Qingyang District were recently District were recently offered tuition fees by the district Party organization to take the CEO (chief executive officer) course at Southwest University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE). This is the first practice of its kind in Sichuan to train out-standing Party members from non-governmental enterprises with financial aid from the Party.
The Qingyang District Government set up a District Government set up a special fund for the program and reached a cooperative agreement with SWUFE to raise Party members’ professional and management skills and capabilities. It has founded party organizations in 116 private enterprises across the district. It aims to foster a group of talented personnel from the Party with strong work skills and capabilities of management.
Most the 12 people are general managers or chief executive officers from non-governmental enterprises. They will take a 3-month training program which involves strategies of competition, strategic management, philosophies of management and leadership. Their employers or enterprises are major tax payers in the Qingyang District.
