Nowadays students want to be more financially independent
for that reason they have credit cards. However, there are some advantages and disadvantages relevant possess plastic money.
There is no denying that students became more responsible when they have bank account. They learnt how to plan expenses and discovered that they cannot buy everything whatever they want because their financial resources are limited. This skills will be use in their adult live. What is more, if you have charge card you do not have to carry money because you can pay it or pick money out from cash point. It is very comfortable. Another thing is that when people do not have money they can run into debt and later pay them off.
On the other hand, credit cards have also disadvantages. First, students may get into debt. When they have too big expenses and they do not control them, it makes many problems. Secondly, credit card can be lost and money from account may be stolen. It is also true that banks assess different small fees for banking transactions. For students each penny is important so it is additional financial burden for their budget.
In conclusion, there are many pros and cons of possessing credit cards for students. The decision of whether to have account in bank and use plastic money or keep cash in sock remains a matter of personal choice.
