Teenagers in Poland and the USA: how similar and how different are they?"
Young people live in every country. However,
are they the same everywhere? There is number of similarities as also
differences between teenagers in Poland and the USA.
There is no denying that our world is getting smaller. It became a global village. Information came to us with the speed of light. Therefore, it is the reason why Polish and American adolescents listen to the same music, watch selfsame films, and wear identical clothes. Thanks to Internet and television, they know what is on top and trendy. What is more, teenagers spend their free time likely on meeting with friends, going to discos or cinema. Furthermore, youth have similar plans and dreams for the future. We want to be happy, make a career, and raise our own family.
On the other hand, there are some differences between us. First, we live in
different cultures and appreciate various values. Secondly, Americans are more laid back because they do not have to cram and memorize stupid, useless formulas and rules. For that reason, they have less stress at school. It is also true that in Poland young people are more addicted from their parents. In USA, teenagers are more self-reliant and responsible. They get a job and earn their leaving earlier than youth in Poland.
In conclusion, I think that we have more in common than sharing us differences. Our worlds infiltrate and influence each other. Nevertheless, we must remember that no matter where we leaving, each of us is different and it are beautiful.
