When the
classroom door opened, everybody went silent. Our English teacher Mrs. Johnson comes into classroom. She always
set us a lot of
homework and for that reason; we had not time for any other things. This time we had to write 20 pages essay about our favourite show business star and she save us only Saturday and Sunday to do it. Unfortunately, no one of us made it.
While Mrs. Johnson was taking the register, we were praying that she forgot about this task. However, no, she remembered. ‘Tom read your homework’ said teacher kindly. Tom looked pale and his hands were shaking. ‘We bought a new dog and it ate my homework’ said boy. No one was laughing. Our hearts were pounding faster and faster. A minute later Monika was answering, ‘I want to write about Madonna so I had gone to her concert. Next day I felt sick’ Tony said that he had had a terrible headache and toothache as he had been lying for two days in hospital.
Then there was my turn. I did not know what to say so I decided pretend faint. While I was fainting, I noticed that a chair had stood to close to me. Nevertheless, it was too late. I beat my head in it. This moment broke silent in
classroom.
Within seconds, I found in school nurse room. On the next day, I had big, purple, and very painful bruise on my head. It did not help scrimshank. All class gets the worst marks. Now we have even more homework then earlier and we have to work harder. However, we know one; lie is not a good solution.
