Possessions - the story of Katherine Fraser . Katherine is a mother of two and a content housewife in a
happy marriage until the day when her husband Craig goes on a business trip and doesn't come home. After ten years of marriage and still very much in
love, Katherine finds herself stranded with her two young
children, a limited social circle, no money, no job and no prospects.
As she comes to terms with the fact that Craig has been hiding some major problems from her, including some alarming financial difficulties, Katherine packs up their home and heads for her childhood town - San Francisco. This is where she
meets the Hayward
family . . . the family that Craig ran away from fifteen years ago.
This is a book of
discovery, as Katherine discovers how fiercely independent and capable of providing for her family she can be, and also discovery of a lifetime of lies and deceit as she meets, and becomes one of, Craig’s extended family – none of whom she knew existed. Katherine learns to provide for herself and her children, to be strong in the face of defeat and to love again.
An enjoyable read with many ups and downs, a dash of romance and the obligatory happy ending.
