"Talk of the Village. Tales from Turnham Malpas"

Book Review by: Harbour

Original Author: Rebecca Shaw
This report will consider why You must read that book. The story
is written in English and published in great Britain by Orion in 1995. For foreign readers is very imporant, like for me, we can improve our English skills, let to know more new words, phrases. We can familiarize with manners and customsentrechended by tradition people from other countries.
Peter Harris is the most important character in "Talk of tke Village. Tales from Turnham Malpas" and at first he seems the most sensible. However, it soon becomes obvious that he is far from perfect.
Peter is the rector of the parish. His wife, Dr Caroline Harris, is the most kind and generous person in the village, but she can not has a children. They woul like to have a family and help one village woman and adopt twins Suzy Meadows (Beth and Alex), who lost her husband. After all secret was ferreted out, twin are Peter and Suzy childrens...
Are the rumours about Peter and pushy newcomer Venetia Mayer (co-owner of the Turnham House Health Club) true?
There is more mysteries in Village life, a spinster of the parish (Gwen Baxter) and her twin sister (Beryl Baxter). You should read that story and on Your own get to know about Gwen youth cruel past and her tragedy...and its effect on Beryl life after Gwen death.
We can take part in Flowers Festival in parish and Sheila Bissett (wife of retired trade union leader) influence on village and get to know about mystery Charity Fund from last century....
Peter must use all his influence to try and unite the village.
All of characters make mistakes and learn from them - this is the most important missive of the story. The end of plots is brilliant because is coming to good wonderfull future.
Read the book! It is fantastic!
