The car is the curse of mankind

Book Summary by: slawek4567

Original Author: ginap
The car is the curse of humankind.
Until quite lately, I could not answer this question or I told I do not agree with
the above statement.
Now I am convinced that the car is the course of mankind. I emphasize it with all resolution.
At the first side, it may seem the car is an excellent invention of the twentieth century. The car had served to make easy the human life, but now it has changed diametrically. Once they really had been used to quicker drive and shorten the time of traveling. If it were to nowadays, it would be excellent. Unfortunately, it is completely different. The technology is still going ahead and our cars are improved. This is not a good way to improvement human’s life. It is not fair that many young people lost their lives in car crash accidents. Not only young people die in these accidents but also older. The question arises, “Why such a young people have to die?” Whether somebody has twenty or less years or little more why he or she must die. I wonder who has the law to kill young lives. I wish somebody answered me. The car – yes, the death – no! However, how to reconcile these two matters. Is it possible? I think it is possible, but many people have to reflect what for the car may be used to. What should we do to avoid foolishness and unnecessary incidents?
These were my ideas and now I quote some very unpleasant examples. I do not know whether I ought to begin from the latest or the oldest example. Perhaps let it be the latest.
Two weeks ago, my friend was killed in a car crash accident. It was not his fault, but it was the driver’s fault. Nevertheless, from the beginning. The four boys were driving from the first town to the second. (I do not publish names of these towns because it is unimportant). It would not be anything strange in this but suddenly the driver wanted to check how to brake with the hand’s brake. This moment the car began to slide along the road, over turn, and at last hit the tree. Two boys in the age of twenty died immediately at the hospital. One of them is alive, but the driver was alive, too, but when he saw what has happened he hung himself and also died. I knew them very well, and now I feel awful. I feel awful, but how do feel their parents? I think it is not able to description, to telling, and even to thinking. It must be a horrible experience for them. Their parents are not more than forty-five years old. They will have to life with the consciousness that they already have not their children. I do not agree with this and never agree. I am also nearly twenty years old and it does not reach to me that I could also do not be alive. If I had driven with them, I would have died with them. It is terrible, and it terrifies me. When I hear on TV about the same accidents, I have shivers. I cannot understand why the young can be so irresponsible. I think they have not an atom of common sense. Every man all over the world should do his/her best to stop those horrible accidents. Parents should not give their cars to children, and children should not ask them about these. People ought to respect the road’s law and have to give a perfect example to the others, especially younger roads users.
When one can hear about cars accidents he/she wants to bay at the moon. If we drive carefully, we will be life longer, because a burnt child dreads the fire. As the known proverb says, “Wise after the event”. However, what does it change? “Wise after the event” but it will not restore the life to which it had unjustly deprived.
The young have to be full of beans, to be in high spirits, to roar with laughter, to laugh in their sleeve, to grin like a Cheshire, to be over the moon, but not to die. We must call a spade a spade and not to beat about the bush. Young people ought to think twice before doing something, especially driving whether the quick speed is worth it. My answer is, it is not worth it. The instructors of driving should accentuate to teach people how to drive and not to take lots of money from the exams. Everyone who pays them much money will pass the exam, and got the driving license. Let no one tell me that I am wrong. I think everybody agrees with me what I told. Of course, there are many different opinions but the truth is always painful. My friends were in the prime of their youth and gone out.
Another example is Princess Diana loved by people all over the world. This was also unjust. Nevertheless, it is the story to the other story.
In short, the car is the curse of mankind and brings bad luck. Maybe someone will say he that is born to be hanged shall never be drowned, and the other will say the more haste, the less speed. The one is sure – died young break somebody’s heart. Most often, these are parents’ hearts.
