Write your abstract here. In his book entitled Approaches to Criticism David Daiches presents approaches to literary criticism using Sociology, Psychology, Phylosophy, and Cultural Studies. This book is important for those beginners of literary criticism. After reading this book a literary critic can analyze a work in various ways of studies. Using Sociological approach, he can appreciate novel, drama, poetry or other kinds of works in sociological point of view. While using psychological approach, a critic may psychologically criticize a literary work in its relation with the author, readers, and psychological aspects of the characters within the work. Applying cultural studies, a critic may reveal cultural phenomena described in a literary work. Phylosophically, a critic can also uncover a work that is laiden philosophical values.
