Continuation My Life - Childhood and innocence - 1
I was born on February 26, 1971 if I'm not mistaken its thursday,
and my mom said that it was past 11 in the evening when I came out of her womb. Im the eldest of the 3 sons and 1 daughter of our parents. I recall my memories and it was very vivid, until now those images when I was 3 yrs old still linger in my thoughts. I recall our maid her name was Mirna, she always carry me whenever she go, she was our first maid in the family, my mom and my dad works in a hotel, my dad was a bellboy and my mom was a clerk, so this was their routine everyday, they go to work and I am left to our maid, and they will come back by evening. During those days it was quite and life was
simple, when I'm hungry I call our maid and tell her dede it means I want bottled milk, and after a minute there goes my food and I will take a long sleep, its early 70's the music that I remembered during those times were carpenters with their song top of the world which was my favorite, I used to dance when I hear that song. The hair style during those days were the hippie looks. There was a time that our maid would take me to their town for 3 days. It was obvious that our maid had done her job very well and that was to take care of me. She said when I was 3 yrs old, I am a quite baby you can leave me in a chair and after 15 minutes im still sitting in that chair! One night, I remember when I was in their town, the people were screaming, I sneak in the window and there I saw a fire in the sugarcane plantation, that scene was very vivid to me, people were running trying to put off the fire, everyone carries a container of water to extinguish it but the fire was huge and consumed all the plantation. In the morning it was a talk of the town, I dont know who did it or why they did it, I was only about 3 or 4 yrs old then, I just saw things happening, kids were taking a bath in a well, mothers laundry their clothes in that same well, it also serves as their drinking water, since there was no running water in that town 33 yrs ago. I remember the road was not cemented, and the means of transportation to the town were carabaos with gareta at the back, most of the houses were nipa huts. Our house in Angeles City during that time was a two storey house, my aunt, sister of my mom lives at the first floor and we live in the second floor, I almost fell down the stairs as I was crawling in the floor thanks to my guardian angel my mom saw me before I reach the stairs and pick me up, I wonder what would happen if I fell in that stairs. Another incident was that I ate some
christmas balls, my mom saw me and cleaned my mouth, removed the particles of christmas balls from my mouth.
