Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is a fascinating story, illustrated by Quentin Blake. An all time favourite. It tells of a young boy's dream come true when he won tickets to visit the chocolate factory. In the factory, there are elves-like creatures working for him. That's why the secret to these delicious chocolates are never revealed... This is a must read book. I read it when I was eight. Still can recall many interesting details from my imagination.There are also many parts in the story which is heartbreaking to know that Charlie and his family were so poor that they actually had to live on potato soup and go to bed hungry.Of course the chance to visit the factory let him eat to his heart's content. You guys and gals out there really gotta check this book out.
