Dolphins There are about a thousand Chinese White Dolphins in the sea between Hongkong and Macau. Chinese White Dolphins are not white. When they are born,they are black. When they are young,they are grey. When they grow up, they become pink.
So, Chinese White Dolphins are sometimes called '' Pink Dolphins''.
Are Dolphins Fish ?
Dolphins are not fish. Just like us, they are mammals.
Dolphins have lungs. They have to breathe. They swim
to the water surface to breathe every twenty to thirty
seconds. After that, they will dive into deep water again.
Sometimes, they can stay underwater for a long time.
Chinese White Dolphins are about seventy centimetres long when they are born.
They can grow to about three metres long. They live for about forty years.
They can see clearly in the water and out of the water.
Sometimes, they like jumping out of the water.
Today, there are fever Chinese White Dolphins.
They like staying in the water near the land but people make land from the sea.
So, dolphins have less space to live.
Also, the water around Hongkong is becoming more polluted.
It is not healthy for Chinese White Dolphins.
They are fever fish for them to eat too.
