This book''s worth the weight it carries.
Irving has painted the
picture of the scene perfectly, you are the four
year old boy walking through the streets, barely enough food to get through, but holding the hand of mother everything turns out fine. We are on a quest, in search for my dad, she will find him. At four Jack attends an all
girls school in Toronto, there he get''s lost in a sea of girls, when he comes out of there he will be changed forever. But halfway through the book everything, everything that''s established so far isn''t exactly what was thought, what really happened in his early travels? Irving brings his readers to take the trip all over to repaint that
picture and what is seen now will move you. Beneath the cakes of history is pain and triumph and hope. This book is haunting and elegant and gripping. Soon after the book is started, the thickness of this books long forgotton. Funny and moving, when I read the last page I shivered.
