Multifocal Intelligence

Book Review by: Paulosecundo

Original Author: Augusto Cury
Multifocal
Intelligence
Dr.
Augusto Cury undertook along more than 17 years an original theory about the

operation of the human mind. In Inteligência Multifocal (name of the Portuguese
version of the book) he explains subjects and reveals facts that challenge our
notion of operation of the human mind. He makes speeches (amount several other subjects)
about the 4 great universal phenomena into every human being (three of them
independent of control of the "I") that work synergistically in the
backstage of our mind to produce the fantastic world of the processes of
construction of thoughts and of the transformation in emotional and
motivational energy: The Autoflow of Psychic Energy, The Autoexamination of
Memory, the Anchor of Memory, and the "I."
The
writer''s speech about the phenomenon of Autoflow of Psychic Energy indicates
that our mind lives in a constant and inevitable dynamic cycle, from the first
thoughts produced by the fetus until the end of the human being''s life. It’s
impossible for us to interrupt the flow of our thoughts, because the Autoflow
of Psychic Energy acts independent to our conscious will, even the attempt of
“thoughts vacuum” is already a manifestation of the thought.
The
production of the writer''s knowledge in relation to the phenomenon of
Autoexamination of Memory tries to unmask that many of the thoughts and
emotions generated in the backstage of our mind are products of a phenomenon
that acts reading certain areas of memory secretly, synthesizing thoughts and
modifying the content of our emotion "without we have authorized such
activity."
The
writer''s speech about the phenomenon of the Anchor of Memory tries to open our
eyes for the fact that nor all content of our memory is available to be read in
a certain existential moment, but only some areas, established for that
phenomenon. Dr. Cury Affirm that displacements of the Anchor of Memory consist
in one of “Intrapsychic” variables of larger relevance in relation to the
content of our thoughts. In moments and phases of life of strong emotional
turbulence the Anchor of Memory can "lock" restricting our access to
"several existential files", in this cases we become rigid, with poor
and little quality in our thoughts generating, several times, many distortions
in the interpretation of the facts and existential situations.
The
phenomenon of the "I" can be defined as our existential conscience of
the world we are and that we live, in short, is our existential identity, our
conscience of ourselves. The “I”, through the habit of cultivating a deep inner
live, exercise the leadership of the other 3 phenomena. However, never interrupting
or eliminating that action. The “I” is, at the same time, servant and leader of
Autoflow of Psychic Energy, of the Autoexamination of Memory and of the Anchor
of Memory. Without a firm posture, passionate for live, and principle centered into
ourselves, the production of thoughts and emotions of our “I” will tend to be
in the hands of others 3 Intrapsychic phenomena – They have the primordial
function of financing the operation of mind and teach the “I” how to write and read
the memory in the first years of live but, the supreme function in producing
relationships and knowledge with humanity is the main responsibility of the
"I." In case that phenomenon doesn''t mature with quality along the
existential process, our knowledge production can have very little humanity,
generating all the forms of violations of the human rights.
In
the book are also discussed several other themes: The 3 basic types of thought:
Essential, Dialectical and Antidialetical; The main functions of the memory;
The virtual nature of the conscious thoughts and of the Existential Conscience
that never find the essential truth; The scientific truth that looks
desperately for essential truth without never reach it becausenite;
The Interpersonal Mediated Communication; The 5 great phases of the
interpretation process; The constant quest of the human being in producing
knowledge and relationships to free themselves of the "Paradoxical
Solitude of Existential Conscience" (that’s unconscious!) e that surface consciously
through of Emotional Solitude; The distorted processes in the construction of
thoughts; The unconscious phenomenon of Emotional Psycoadaptation and several
other subjects that surround the 4 great phenomena that finance the human
intelligence.
