When you look at Entire Hindu
religious scriptures you realize, they provide multidimensional discourses.
Events occurring in the realm of time create illusion. Illusion is the result
of our state of mind at that particular moment. We think what we are experiencing
is true. But the doctrine of the Upanishads calls it the mischief of ego. The
separateness of ego from the rest of the
universe is not only deceptive; it
also leads to a number of confusions. The Upanishads are discourses delivered
by their preceptors to highly intelligent pupils. The Chandogya Upanishad says
that even Indra, the king of paradise, came as a student to understand the
mystical nature of Brahma. There are close to 150 major Upanishads, of which
108 are traditionally recognized as being authentic.
In these Upanishads we find
an intuitive speculation of a philosophical doctrine which is purely spiritual.
Because this doctrine is coming down to people since time immemorial we call it
Sanatan or eternal Dharm. In Vedic literature it is known as Arya Dharm and at
a later stage it came to be accepted as Hindu Dharma. K M Sen in his book
Hinduism says: "Hinduism is like a tree that has grown gradually, than
like a building that has been erected by some great architect at some definite
point in time". Since a number of sages contributed to its growth,
Hinduism is polytheistic, monotheistic, monistic and atheistic, all at the same
time.
Conditions in the Universe
and
space before "Big Bang": there was no truth, there was no
untruth; there was no space, there was no sky; there must have been some
motivation, and a motivator; there were no oceans, there was no controller;
there was no death, there was no Birth, there were no life producing and life
sustaining elements; the space was empty, there were no vibrations; motivator
may have been there, but he was desire-less; later on vibrations started,
sprouts started appearing; the activity was self-produced, and possessed a
power of self-manifestation.
4.13.5. How this sun
traverses the sky untied and unsupported? Which power makes this wandering
possible? What is the truth and who knows this truth? All these three questions
with their ensuing answers; sages meditated seeking answers and accepting them.
Science found this answer that answer is gravitational force. Vedas found that
answer too''. This produces lines of magnetic force on the sun and in space.
This we understand with respect to earth. It is very recent that we are trying
to interpret Saturn''s strange moon "Phoebe", which has frozen, battered
orb. Scientists are speculating''. "Could it be a four-billion-year-old
relic of the
early solar system?" Ancient sages did this questioning
10,000 years B.C. Their meditative eyes of mind could see things in the outer
solar system; could see things in the asteroid belt or closer to the sun.
Energy can be associated with
material body or it can be independent of matter..." In
"Cosmos", Kari Sagan says: "The early Universe was filled with
radiation and a plenum of matter, originally hydrogen and helium formed from
elementary particles in the dense fire ball”. Electrical charges and magnetic
charges produce a combined electromagnetic field, which is considered as having
its own existence in space apart from the charge. In an atom the energy point
is at the centre; the proton remains steady and electron revolves in fixed
orbit around the proton. The bird that remains steady and unconcerned is
proton; the other orbiting is electron. These verses also convey spiritual
meaning: the tree represents human body, the fruits are man'' unavoidable
destiny.
Scientific pouring of Vedas
was not understood, and spiritual teachings came down traditionally in a much
distorted form. Westerners who studied Vedas committed same binders; they could
be pardoned, they did not have the
knowledge onskrit, they also suffered a
superiority complex. True knowledge of Vedas remains still hidden in Books. In
the 20th century renown scientists and physicists were attracted towards Vedas
and Upanishads. Even the educated among Indians provided their own
interpretations of the
old stories of Puranas coming
down in folklores.
They provided traditional
view, scientific view was lacking. It is a general view among Hindus to accept
the stories in Puranas as holy and religious; howsoever distorted they may
through ignorance, lest they will cease to be Hindus. The fear is
self-proclaimed. What the generations of early Hindus have done is instilling
blind faith and fear of death in their children if traditions are not strictly
observed. Hindus lacked critical thinking for ages, and "Creativity"
was lost. There was lack of wisdom, lack of insights and
no knowledge sharing.
Male child could devote
itself entirely to the pursuit of knowledge, but the female child was
discouraged and neglected. It became a notion that woman''s place in society is
only for propagation of human species. Later generations of men and women
learnt to justify their intellectual limitations. In the 21st century Indians
are, perhaps, expecting that white superior raves will open the top of their
heads, add in a computer chip into their brains and announce them as super
Pentiums; because they (Indians) have basic instincts, which came down to them
through their superior Vedic ancestors.
Black Hole Blues: Before the advent
of holes were still awesome enough structures to boggle the imagination. First
suggested over a hundred years ago and confirmed earlier last century by
solutions to Einstein''s equations for general relativity, they represent the
final stage of evolution for some very massive stars following total
gravitational collapse. At their centers lie the infinitely densely packed
remains of the original stars, perhaps only a few kilometers across, if not
crushed completely out of existence. Their gravitational fields are so intense
that nothing, not even electromagnetic radiation —
including light — traveling
at 300,000 kilometers per second can escape. It has even been suggested the end
of the universe will be its becoming a single black hole. In spite of this
already astounding scenario Hawking still managed to ratchet up the popular
imagination by several notches when he entered the scene sometime in the early
1970s and argued that anything swallowed by a black hole was forever hidden
from the outside universe.
At most, he maintained, black
holes might emit heat, but the problem was that this would carry energy away.
Meaning the black hole would gradually evaporate and then disappear in a final
explosive outburst — taking the crucial information with it forever.
By Dennis Overbye, of black
holes:
Last year, astronomers
discovered that outbursts from a giant black hole were spreading pressure
waves through the thin hot gas of the distant Perseus cluster of galaxies. The
frequency of these waves was equivalent to a B flat, 57 octaves below middle C,
the astronomers calculated. Now another group of astronomers has discovered
waves from another massive black hole spreading outward from the centre of a
galaxy known as M87 at the heart of the Virgo cluster, about 50 million
light-years from Earth. They appear as rings and arcs of brightness in images
of the galaxy obtained by NASA''s Chandra X-Ray
Observatory. The sound waves
in M87, spaced about four million years apart, are a little more than an octave
higher than the Perseus black hole, they said, and a little rougher and less
pure. "If one could hear the sound. It would be more like the cannons in
the 1812 Overture'' than the pure tone of a musical instrument," said Dr.
William Forman of the Harvard-Smithsonian Centre for Astrophysics. Frivol
