Dr. Sigmund Freud has expressed
great surprise that
such a thing should be conceived possible, but he admits that this experiment
had always been made and that therefore it would be hazardous to deny its
possibility. Solution to a problem is found not by searching the unknown but by
rearranging what we already know... if this idea is western its roots are in
Indian philosophy, Mira is the symbol of supreme Yoga. Recent studies have
suggested that months to years of intensive meditation can improve attention
and lower stress. With the integrative body-
mind meditation distraction is
removed and the mind becomes fresh. Integrative meditation incorporates several
key components body and mind techniques including body relaxation, breathing
adjustment,
mental imagery, and mindfulness training shows broad positive
effects. It improves moment-to-moment awareness.
It may be remembered that in accordance with the
fundamental meta-physical position of this system,
space and
time have no
separate existence. Time is constitutional or structural movement in space, and
in all space products. Time is an original function inherent in the neutral
real space, the physical spheres, and all products of space as matter. Space is
the first category that emerges in the physical plane as a result of the
combination of the neutral real. Time exists in all the products of space in
the material and the biological world. In the yoga view of the situation, the
difference between
cause and conditions also ceases to have any real significance
and has only methodological value. When we talk of mind, the condition as the
spatiotemporal elements of the mentally separated causal whole, are
conterminous with the organization of the effect; whole constituting its own
spatiotemporal and material elements. The effect, “whole”, exists in the causal
“whole” as involved in its self-evolving process as its moments of
self-expression. On the subject of reasoning, “Vyasa Bhashya” is famous: It
states cause as manifestation to
consciousness of what is already existent,
cause as determined in change of directions in a process, cause as determined
in mental movement of syllogistic nature by deduction or induction, cause as
attainment of a true state of consciousness negating the false one, cause as
extraneous agent determining the transformation and cause as a sustaining
agent. The idea of the universe as an interrelated organization in the interest
of one another receives an important justification from a biological outlook.
All the processes of life are governed by the same quantitative laws that have
been proved to hold for non-living matter.
Though intimately associated with a physiological
organism the processes of which take place in a definite spatiotemporal
situation, the mind apparently has no such limitation. Physiological neural and
biochemical changes are different from the associated mental factors that even
by the wildest stretch of imagination they cannot be regarded as their
modifications. The neuro-cerebral system undergoes great changes along with
conscious process. May be consciousness can be attributed to the earth and the
other heavenly bodies-making the cosmic consciousness the whole, of which the
individual forms of consciousness in plants and animals are parts. And for a
man, relation of mind and body is no special problem in the Yoga theory, but is
deducible from the general metaphysical position of the system. Once the
evolutionary trend is notice, its good effects can be enhanced by special
training (Self training). Various types of Yoga come handy in this regard. You
can even make your voice reach a long distance by correct posture.
English people developed the historical awareness and
by early 20th century and gained tremendous advantage over the
people of the world. They enslaved half the world and became militarily
powerful. British historian Arnold Toynbee wrote volumes in praise of British Empire. They were the best race; they had the best
philosophy, they had the best navy. They even thought God understood their
language!
Views of
British historian Arnold Toynbee (1889-1975), who said that the British used
“History” as a tool: Philosophical
study of the pattern of rise, growth and fall of world civilizations; he
understood and in a way predicted the downfall of British Empire. He believed that civilization’s rise is always in
sin, and it is spurred by, adverse conditions; and decay after creating a
universal religion. What kind of “universal religion” Arnold Joseph Toynbee
(1889-1975) is talking about. Empire won by advanced weapons of war and dirty
politics that is sinful, in that sense that is the kind of religion they
propagated! Toynbee had no access to Vyasa’s “Mahabharata” to understand the
meaning of “Religion”. Had he glanced at it, perhaps he would have changed his
mind. The general outcome of scientific and technological advances, when the
people were groping in the dark to understand the life by itself, (these people
had no intention to trade on the independence of others) had helped British to
keep their presence in foreign lands a little longer than expected.
Kashinath Trymbak Telang, the 1st Indian
vice chancellor of Bombay University and a man of prodigious talent wrote a biography of Adi
Shankaracharya, the great unifier of Hinduism. His active period of writing and
other political activities must have been 20 to 30 years until 1889, the year
he became judge of the Bombay high court. He refuted Weber’s (German sociologist
thesis that the Ramayana was copied from “Homeric saga”. In one of the volumes
of “The Indian Antiquary”, Dr. Weber sought to show that the great Hindu epic,
Ramayana, really dates from 3rd or 4th cent. A. D. Even the theory
of Weber that Buddhist myth was borrowed from Homer is itself an arrogant
blasphemy. Today there is enough proof that 700 BC. Gk writers carried
influence of their 100 centuries back forefathers on their DNA. They lived on
borders of Aryans civilizations of Ice Age Era. Ninety percent of Greek words
find their roots in Sanskrit. All Western philosophers are realizing this. Ramayana
goes back 7000 year BC Mahabharata is 4000 to 4500 BC. There is a mention that
Greek soldiers fought in the Mahabharata war wrote Czechoslovakian writer Vladimir Milhner: “when the dawn broke on the eighteenth day of
the great battle, Kuru forces were made up of “Trigartas” from the North-West,
with the “Shakas”, the “Persians” and “Greeks”. “All these people lived very
closely with Aryans right from 10,000 years BC to 1500 years BC. Yet they
remained far from the mental setup and moral values of Aryans.
Ancient sages understood and accepted the cosmic
principle. The universe is a living, evolving system, and in it every part has
its place and sub serves the whole. Subject and object, form and matter, the
ideal and the real, are one, together and inseparable; the one is the many, and
the many are one. Reality is an organic whole of interrelated parts. The same
unity in plurality, or identity in diversity, which characterized nature, we
find in mental life; in the act of knowledge, the knower and the thing known
are one. Dialectical thought expresses the innermost essence of the universal
mind; in such thinking the universal mind knows itself as it is. Reason is the
same everywhere the divine reason is at work; the universe, in so far as it is
real and eternal, is the expression of the thought of God.
This thought process culminates into the science of
Logic; which is built over a period of time. The philosophy of mind shows how
reason after subjugating objective nature, returns to itself and thereby achieves
self consciousness.
Life is a continuous adaptation of internal or
