In a book about
natural cat care, a formula is given for a high calcium
chicken soup- the recipe is as follows 2 part chicken
(I prefer thighs), 1 part necks and backs, cover and simmer for 4-6 hours, then reduce (let some water cook off). It would be great mixed with some whole wheat flour or possibly soy flour. I would boil a carrot and cut it up into a bunch of pieces and add this to the gravy-- the bones are high in calcium. bon appetit! Im pretty sure comfrey, burdock root and a little garlic are good food additives for cats, garlic is effective in preventing flea infestations, though too much can give a burning sensastion. The author offers this recipe called delicious garlic condiment.... minced garlic, 1 part water, 1 part tamari sauce, let stand a few minutes. enjoy!
