Harry
lived with
uncle,
Professor Hardwigg in Hamburg, Germany. He was a professor of philosophy, chemistry, geology, mineralogy, and many others. A Runic Manuscript which was written in a small parchment lead them to an unforgettable
journey down into a mountain in search of the
center of the
earth. The manuscript was written in the form of old codes that they had to decipher for sometime. Only to discover that it was to be read backwards after his uncle substituted the letters of our alphabet for that of a Runic. They started their journey at once with the help of an Icelandic guide called Hans. They followed the trail of a man, Arne Saknussemm, who claimed to have been to the center of the earth and returned after the voyage. Their journey was tough, considering that they have encountered pre-historic animals, giant cavemen, a mighty
volcano, rock tunnels, and underground seas. All of which tried to prevent them from completing their wonderful journey to the center of the earth. It was a rather difficult journey, however, all their hardships paid off. It was extraordinary, too because they entered the earth by one volcano and had come out by another. Imagine starting it out at Iceland, going down ten thousand feet below sea level, and surfacing on the center of the Mediterranean. When they came back to Hamburg, the town gave a festival in their honor. Their journey created great excitement throughout the world and their story was published in many languages. After their successful journey, which everybody thought was impossible, (because everyone believed that you can never come back once you start out this journey), Harry married Gretchen (his fiancee). They lived with uncle where they continued to work together with other studies.
