Yoga the answer
People throughout the world have taken the ancient path of
Yoga , to obtain happiness here and hereafter. yoga literally means yoking, and the culmination of that effort of yoking the individual self to the universal one is bliss. Or in the words of jesus Christ peace that passeth understanding. the aim of yoga practice is balancing this and that to arrive at a point where naturalness and perfection are exhibited.our individual limitations are gone.
There are several schools of yoga but broadly speaking they could be categorized as hatha yoga and raja yoga. The first focuses on physical fitness with the idea of
higher goal behind it. The latter is the higher
form . and the raja or regal aspect here is thinking. Regulate the mind and make it a fit receptacle for higher things. Then
evolution is assured.
One of the schools propagating this method of evolution is Dhyan Foundation, based in New Delhi. The mentor here is Yogi Ashwini.
His followers see in him a perfect example of his teachings.some of his thoughts have been compiled in book form and the title is apt:thoughts …..of the
inner world
The concepts behind the science of yoga, the depths to which one could dive in the inner world and several byproducts of practice called as siddhis in ancient literature are narrated in a style which a lay person could follow.
Yet, there is note of caution . That the guru’s role is indispensable for undertaking the path. The book is an eyopener to all the seekers who are earnest about the goal.It answers many questions running in people’s minds.
For instance Karma. It is synonym for action. But “action doesn”t necessarily stand for an act in the physical; it can be a thought also.”
