It''s been ten years since one of the most powerful wizards of all,
Lord Voldemort, lost his powers and many say, his
life. But the cost to
the magical community of this victory is great, the lives of the
Potters, Lily and James, who had stood up to him. One boy survived
Voldemort''s attempts to kill him and as he is the boy who lived, he is
now one of the most famous eleven year olds in the world, in the
magical world at least. This however is news to Harry Potter who has
been left on the doorstep of his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon.
But Harry''s whole world is about to change for Harry Potter, like his
parents before him, is a Wizard and after a surprise visit and a
seemingly endless supply of letters are sent to him, Harry is packed
off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in order to further
his magical education, under the tutelage of Albus Dumbledore. Nasty
surprises and enemies await Harry as he befriends Ron Weasley, Hermione
Granger and makes an enemy out of Draco Malfoy. Hogwarts is a strange
and wonderful new world for Harry, not the least of which is being
sorted into Gryffindor House by a hat and playing Quidditch.
But something else is happening at Hogwarts this year as well,
something is being guarded and Harry and his new friends have an idea
of just what that something is. They know that it was removed from
Gringotts (the wizard''s bank in Diagon Alley) and they know that
someone tried to steal it from Gringotts after it had been removed. Now
it is at Hogwarts and it is up to Harry, Ron and Hermione to unravel
the mystery and stop the would-be thief before it''s too late.
