The Holy Bible is an
ancient Book that many disbelieve and discredited. It is a controversial Book. Yet the Bible has more readers than any other book. This Book has transformed lives like no other. There are those who made a complete turn around from doing evil to good. It is being translated into hundreds of languages and is read in almost every country.
However, the fact of the matter is even though it is ancient, many of the present happenings in our society are already documented in this Book. So, to us many things are strange and new, but if our eyes are opened we will see that these things happen in ancient times and we were told that they will happen again. Matthew 24 verse 35 says that, heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
How many people knew that the first
mention of
homosexuality was recorded in Genesis
chapter 19. In this chapter, verses 5 to 8, the men of Sodom wanted Lot to send out the angels to them. Instead, Lot offered to them his two daughters. This is plain for all to see.
Then there is the subject of
wars and rumours of war in Matthew chapter 24 and
today numerous wars are on the land and there are many other issues which are too many to mention at this moment that prove the validity of this ancient Book.
This Book has sixty-six books, written by about forty different authors over a period of more than sixteen hundred years, but it carries a unity of theme and purpose. Myer Pearlman said, its timeless. It is one of the most ancient books, and yet the most
modern.
I would advise everyone to check the happenings of today and compare them to that of this ancient Book.
