The thing, which separates oneself from others, is his own identity .So if a person wants to preserve his or her identity, he should not only be true to himself or herself but also to others.
Plagiarism is the phenomena which directly attacks ones own identity, as copying others makes one not only ridiculous at times in front of others but also takes away his confidence. This makes his identity always in question.
If such a person is hired by a company then definitely the company cannot flourish because if a person has a cheating habit it will bring ruin only in the long run. So such persons must be strongly condemned.
Copying others and taking their credit is very easy but by using your own wit and knowledge and applying it to create something is your own creativity and according to me its a very rare phenomena and one should try hard to preserve it and to maintain it. As, a person who is true to himself will definitely be true to the outer world as well. Taking influences from the natural sources is a natural thing but being influenced is very much different from plagiarism.
Strict rules should be enforced upon those who are involved in plagiarism and who practice it regularly. As this is the only way to protect people being wrong to themselves and will provide encouragement to those who are genuine and
innovative in the true sense. Being innovative is not very difficult as if one thinks to achieve something and tries hard towards achieving his goal then one day he fulfils his dream.
