Whereas hydrogen consists
of a positively charged proton circled by a negatively charged electron, in
anti-hydrogen
the proton''s counterpart, a positively charged antiproton is
circled by an anti-electron, otherwise known as a positron. They then observed
the flashes of energy when the new anti hydrogen atoms annihilated themselves
in collisions with ordinary matter in the walls of the chamber. At least 50,000
anti hydrogen atoms have been created since
experiments began in the year 2,000
while anti hydrogen atoms have been glimpsed in CERN
experiments before, this is the first time they are being produced under
circumstances that might eventually permit their detailed study.
It is very
exciting to see the production of anti hydrogen; it opens up a whole new line
of experiments with antimatter. "In the initial states of God, communion,
the devotee''s consciousness, merges in the cosmic spirit and his life force is
withdrawn from the body, which appears dead, motionless, or rigid. The Yogi is
fully aware of his bodily condition of suspended animation As he progresses to
higher
spiritual states, however, he communes with God, without bodily
fixation" There are several other forms of Yoga, such as Ha¶ha Yoga, Mantra
Yoga, and Laya Yoga. All these, however, are either branches or subdivisions of
the four main divisions of Yoga. Ha¶ha Yoga is a branch of Raja Yoga and
includes the first four steps (Yama, Niyama, Asana and Pranayama) of Raja Yoga.
Yogis discovered very early that suitable body postures and regulated breathing
were of great help in focusing one''s mind inward. These led to the discovery of
Ha¶ha
Yoga. Today Ha¶ha Yoga is an integral part of popular health maintenance
and body building activities in many countries. If a person who accepts the
path of devotional service he is not bereft of the results derived from
studying the Vedas, performing austere sacrifices, giving charity or pursuing
philosophical and fruititive activities.
Simply by
performing devotional service, he attains all these, and at the end he reaches
the supreme eternal abode. According to Vedic opinion, there are two ways of
passing from his world, one in light and one in darkness. When one passes in
light, he does not come back; but when one passes in darkness, he returns.
Although the devotee knows these two paths, 0 Arjuna, they are never
bewildered. All these qualifications of the atomic soul definitely prove that
the individual soul is internally the atomic particles of the spirit whole, and
he remains the same atom eternally, without change. The theory of monism is
very difficult to apply in this case, because the individual soul is never
expected to become one homogeny. After liberation from material contamination,
the atomic soul may prefer to remain as a spiritual spark in the effulgent rays
of the supreme personality of Godhead, but the intelligent souls enter into the
spiritual planet to associate with the personality of Godhead. And there is no
doubt that living entities allover are God''s creation.
