Leave Application Using REA Ontology
This research have been done by Mr Emsaieb Mosbah Emsaieb, one of my master
student. The
research is about how to use REA ontology as semantic
conceptual model to design non accounting information system. For this research he selected Leave Application System.
The REA (Resources, Events and Agents) model originating from the accounting domains is maturing to a conceptual framework and ontology for Enterprise Information Archetectures in general. The research is to enhance the readers understanding of REA modeling and to test the use af REA as a conceptual design or designing archetecture tool. The study conducted to model the Leave Application System using REA components, using a real case to implement the model and to design REA ontology on the system. Protĕgĕ OWL is used as a tool to represent REA ontology on the selected case.
