Violet, Klaus and Sunny are the three Baudeluire children, that there parents were killed when there house was
burnt. Since then, they were moving from
place to place, when all of the time a man named Count Olaf tried to catch them, and take all of the money that there parents lift for them.
In one of the times they were escaping from Count Olaf (book #5), they mat Duncan and Isadora Quagmire, that Count Olaf tried also to catch them, and just before he
succeed to catch them, they shouted to the Baudeluire’s “V.F.D!”, but the Baudeluire’s didn’t know whet “V.F.D.” mean, so when the Baudeluire’s were looking for a new place to live, and they found a place named V.F.D., they decided to live there, hopping that there they will find the answer.
V.F.D. was a small town in the middle of nowhere, which was covered with thousands of crows: in the morning they where in the uptown, in the afternoon they flow to the downtown (at night they slapped on nevermore tree, a huge tree which was outside the town.
In the town they lived with hector, the handyman of the town, who lived near nevermore tree.
The main function of him was to theca them all of the strange rules of the town. For example, no mechanical device, and no books about mechanical device were allowed in the town.
Every day, the Baudeluire’s needed to do the housework of the all of the town. After that, they needed to clean also all of the streets, and the Fowl Fountain.
Even that they were not in a good condition, they were still worried for the friends of them - the Quagmires twins- Duncan and Isadora, that were kidnapped by count Olef.
They succeed to find them after a lot of problems (count Olef had them in the Fowl Fountain), and even succeed to help them to run away with Mr. Hector in a hot air balloon, but because hot air balloon was illegal, all of the people of the town and count Olef run after them, and tried to punish then, by boring them.
The Baudeluire’s succeeded to run away into the desert, without nothing, but still alive.
