The Three Phases
1.Preparation/Pre-
production -the idea for
film is develop and committed to the paper.
-acquiring of funds
Two Central Roles
a.
Producer-tasks are chiefly financial and organisational
-try to convince the production companies or distribution companies finance the film
-nurses the project thru script process and arranges to hire who will work on the film.He also acts as a liason between the writer or
director,assigned to distribution,promotion,marketing of the film and monitor payback of the money invested.
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER-is the person who oftens arrenged the financing for the project or obtained the literary property.
LINE PRODUCER-overses the day-to-day activities of director,cast,and crew.
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER-asks as a liason with the technical or laboratory personnels.
b.Screenwriter-prepare the screenplay amd meet with producer for pitching session or develop an idea for them.Then the scripts will go thru several
stages.Like trearment,
MAKING of the synopsis of the action,then one or more full length scripts and a final version then the shooting script.
2.Production Phase
-starts to
shoot and where the director has an important role same as with the productiob designer,costume designer,set decorator,script supervisor;1st,2nd, and 3rd assistant director,the photography and sound unit etc.Each scene is not being shoot in continuity but by chopping the scripts to minimize the costs of production and just pot it in order during editing.
3.Postproduction Phase
-where fixing of everything is being done-sounds,colour,noise reduction,compression,dubbing and necessary things.
