Copyright and its legal implications are taking up a lot of time in the press recently.
Its not altogether a bad business
to have so much time devoted to the nature of
copyright and how it affects both author and reader and lender from libraries or the Poetry Society in London.
I suppose if like some very famous authors you are afraid that people will steal from you unless you protect your work from that artistic theft then its good to dwell on the demands of copyright.
I have permission from my
publishers to circulate a few poems but the whole book cannot be copied by anyone and when someone wishes to make a film of my book Rock Me they must first seek the permission of the publishers .. in America .. my publishers ... Publishamerica Baltimore, USA.
The reason for copyright is to ensure that the artist and/or author gets royalties and these are shared with the Publishers otherwise it would be a violation of copyright!
