On Friday, December 14, from 7 to 8 pm at a cozy Star Bucks Café in Clovis, Lee Herrick read several of his poems from his
new book “This Many Miles From Desire”, which this writer highly recommends to all who have a heart for poetry from a son of Seoul. The first element in his poetry is, according to Herrick, movement. His second element is pace. His third element is slowness. Through his readings, it was possible to get a sense of these three elements: (1) the element of movement; (2) the element of pace; and (3) the element of slowness.
