Internet will soon replace books

Book Summary by: slawek4567

Original Author: ginap
The Internet will soon replace books.
In the last decade, we have witnessed severe development of the internet in computer
technology. On the other hand, readers are bombarded with the tremendous amount of new books, and the popularity of literature has increased. Let me analyze the advantages of the internet as opposed to books.
To start with, the internet brings the “whole world” into our homes. It offers immediate access to word wide information, scientific matters, events, and all kinds of different subjects.
Furthermore, the speed with which we can log onto the internet and instant transmission of the information makes it overcome traditional visits to the library. Undoubtedly, it is a cheap form of entertainment without going out and travelling to the library or a bookshop, which can easily enjoyed at home, privately. Nowadays the viewers of the internet have endless abilities and what is more, inexpensive way of getting knowledge through the internet. Definitely, using the internet can make us achieve a greater educational potential. Buying books can be very costly, and not that easy to find the write edition,
Very often, in order to get one specific book we need to visit many bookstores at libraries and spend a lot of our precious time.
What is more, the use of the Internet brings you closer to other cultures and nations. This can be done simply by surfing the World Wide Web and chatting with foreigners, getting to know their customs, culture, and historical facts, about their country. Internet can help its users to over-come racial and religious prejudice without the expense of traveling abroad.
In addition, the form of expressing information, pictures, films, and news is vivid and explicit. The variety of ideas available on the internet can make us more objective. Books on the other hand can hand us information that is more detailed and it is more precise. The author of a book usually has to do a lengthy research and edit it before publishing it.
What is more, books can be returned to and read many times and for those who want to study in detail a certain subject, they offer much wider information than on the compact internet.
The one of the draw books of the internet is that it encourages mental laziness; it is intellectually undemanding and can very often be used to manipulate young and naïve people. Children may have easy access to adult sites, or even might help getting into dangerous relationships with strangers.
To conclude, I can honestly say that although the advantages of the internet are huge, they will never take over traditional books. In contrast, although the books are more expensive and difficult to obtain they will always have their value and they should be treasured with respect as they provide us with information that is more detailed and can be passed from one generation to another.
