There are no Certainties

Book Review by: Breno Bacci

Original Author: Paz Kardo
This abstract was translated from Não há Certezas
After his success Ausência (Absence), Paz Kardo releases a new novel - Não há Certezas (There are no Certainties) -, a challenge
to those who dare to think they will never be able to love again after a failed relationship, to those who live believing that actual love affairs will never long forever. "There are no Certainties" is a novel with a strong philosophical background under a love story between an editor and a storekeeper of a gossip magazine, whose fates are united despite all expectatives and against the will of a wealthy man who believed to have it all which is needed to spend the rest of his days without the troubles and bad moods which a common life tends to bring. Paz Kardo surprises us with an astonishing finale , even resembling Kafka. A novel to read, think and recommend. "There are no Certainties" will be out in May and will warrant a longer life for the author of Absence in the literature world.
