POEMS OF PABLO NERUDA

Book Review by: Raajesh

Original Author: PABLO NERUDA
Pablo Neruda, a Chilean Romance, chilling the loving hearts around the world through his mellifluous
words and emotions, he kindles the Cry of downtrodden against the autocrats and despots. Hailing from the chaotic atmosphere of Latin America, he has revolution in his blood, fire in his words and love in his heart.  We can''t consider this as mere poems, really it is blood and feelings, take shape of words, and it enters into the core of human sensitiveness, with sharpness and edges of affection.     In the Poem "This Night", the soul of the poet explodes several times, to shed his love to her bosom, and he lost himself in reminiscence about his lost love, but he reasserts his love to her, in all verses with compassion and sanctity.  How nicely  he draw the picture of love, solitude and heart....,     In  "Only Death", he scales to darkness to narrate, the magnificence and brightness of death, in lucid, but in profound manner and also said the color of death is green and death is searching for corpses.  The author''s versatility of blending words in unusual places, adds charm to the poems, and it bring us, away from conventional thinkings and likings, and we are in a new world of novel love and divinity.     War, Poverty, Orphans, Motherland, all are subject of his poems.  The poet dreamt a land of milk and honey, where the workers live in peace and with food, and without aches. Above all Neruda is a humanist and always talking in the tune of common people.
