Emily was an ordinary girl with an ordinary family--once. She got a lovely father, a pretty mother, a fussy Gran, a younger
sister called Vita and a little brother called Maxie. Although the two of them sometimes bugged Emily so much, she was happy. She especially loved her father, or shall I say stepfather, for Frankie the lovely dad was only the father of Vita and Maxie. Em got a different father. They were in happy days until one Christmas, when Em found out that her lovely Dad, the one who cheered them up, the one who always told beautiful stories to them, decided to leave them because he got a woman in his heart. They were very sad and depressed the first days, especially when Dad got his girlfriend along when he asked his kids to go take a walk at New Year. They missed him so much until he got them out for one whole day and worried Mom and Gran until finally Mom asked for a
clean break. They never seen him since that very day.
But then a miracle happened. Gran took them all for a holiday though things were still difficult for them--by selling her precious china! And surprisingly, Gran got a boyfriend!!! Things are quite looking up for them. Emily also got to meet with her favourite author, who regarded her as a quite good author (Emily was a story-teller in her family once her dad is gone). But something happier than that occured. Em saw Dad! She ran towards him, but unfortunately she got her arm broken--which made Dad decided to stay with them (though Mom didn''t really want him anymore). Things stayed that way until the next Christmas...when a person knocked their door with a warm laugh. Father Christmas had come.
