The rose of the people

The author Carlos Drummond is a very well known Brazilian poet who has reached a level of maturity in the Brazilian poetry environment. The rose of the people engages the audience in a particular phase of social realism. Writing is a work of art is it is sustained along the collection of poems. It took me almost four times to read and comprehend the feeling inside the poetry. We do not have to forget that the poetry collection was written during the dark years of the Vargas dictatorship in World War II.
In order to understand properly the poetry, we have to look at the context of the events around the environment of the author. There is a feeling of rebellion against the system of humanity cruelty. It is a good book for deep reflex ion.
