23 Minutes in Hell

Book Review by: galestanton

Original Author: Bill Wiese
On November 23, 1998 at 3:00 am, I (as told from the first person from Bill Weise) experienced a spiritual vision.
Dr. Lester Sumrall, Springdale, PA:Whitaker House, 1995 relayed a vision akin to mine in "Run With the Vision:"
"God lifted me up until I was looking down upon that uncountable multitude of humankind. He took me far down the highway until I saw the end of the road. It ended abruptly at a precipice towering above a bottomless inferno. When the tremendous unending procession of people came to the end of the highway, I could see them falling off into eternity. As they neared the pit and saw the fate that awaited them, I could see thier desperate but vain struggle to push back against the unrelenting pressure of those in the rear. The great surging river of humanity swept them ever forward. God opened my ears to hear the screams of damned souls sinking into hell...I could see thier faces distorted with terror. Thier hands flailing wildly, clawing at the air."
I too had a vision.
I went to bed with my wife and awoke catipulting into a dark hot cell with four huge beasts torturing me. They got on top of me and crushed my head. I was naked and the fear was tremendous. The hatred hung in the room. My injuries strangely did not bleed. I managed to crawl off a moment and saw a vast firepit in the distance. It must have been a mile wide. The oxygen felt as if to be sucked out of me in a vaccum and the beasts retrieved me and threw me with a thousand times the strength of any man. In an instant, I was next to the big pit of fire. Human beings were existing in that fire. I heard the unisoned screams of millions of pitiful voices in agony. I saw thier clawing grasping fingers reaching into the air from everywhere into the heavy smoke above the flames. I saw stone walls descending toward the fire, walls that were applied with great malformed beasts with human looking appendages. All were chained and were imprisoned like a puzzle into the makeup of the wall.
I lifted into a tunnel from which I could see the expanse of multitudes of burning pits below, some very small with one person suffering and tortured, grasping inside the fires of them. I ascended higher and higher and a bright light filled the tunnell and the stench and heat, the screams, I heard no more. I was filled with great joy and peace. I felt in my spirit the presence of love and goodness. "God?" I said. And I was answered by, "I AM." I heard this vividly. I felt myself ascend in this light and sense of ecstasy up, up through the earth's crust and broke effortlessly past the earth's surface and high up past the atmosphere where I say the curve of the very earth and descended back into the atmosphere, thinking how tremendous and effortless this was to be flying and floating like this. I saw the continents come into view and descended toward California and my rooftop. As I descended, I could see my livingroom in the window and was startled to see my body on the floor. I felt sucked into my body and at the same time felt the loving enveloping presence of God go from my spirit.
I screamed for a time as the memories flooded over me. My wife prayed next to me. I humbly and honestly lay the relaying of my experience at your feet to do with as you will.

Not a novel

Just wanted to add one quick comment. Bill Wiese does not present his book as a novel. He says these things actually happened to him. And he does provide Biblical support later in the book for this experience. Again, he does not present his story as fiction, but as an actual experience that he had.

..

seems like a thrilling novel.. Or actual experience like TomK123 says. Good if Biblical support is also provided there. job listings
