Chris Moyles the Saviour of
Radio 1 has written a
book - The Gospel According to Chris Moyles. The book has been around for about a year now and I was given it as a birthday present. I used to listen to Chris Moyles on Radio 1 each morning when my drive to
work lasted 45 minutes but now as it lasts just 5 I rarely have the radio on. This is a shame because listening to Moyles could really get you laughing on the way to work.
I suppose he was a good candidate to write a book. 8 million of us tune into his radio show so the publishers must have thought a good percentage will buy this and we are onto a winner. And as far as book sales go they were! Chris tells us about how he got into Radio and the long
process of
getting to Radio 1. If you listen to his show he comes across as an ego maniac but reading the book
shows a different, quiet and shy side to him. He’s the person at the party not really wanting to engage with others – so he says.
If you are looking for a book that will give you an insight into the Radio1 process then this one isn''t for you. Neither is it a book crammed packed with secrets about celebrities but one that shows what hard work this lad from Leeds has put into getting where he is today.
Chris has now written a second book - The Difficult Second Book - which covers more of what he is upto now and is also worth picking up.
The Gospel According to Chris Moyles is and easy read and one that can be got through in a day or so.It therefore makes it an ideal book for a weekend away.
