Such a fuss about the delay in the Christmas post meant that none of the promised
presents to the teacher arrived on
time .. I had all but given up on anything
approaching "normal" and resigned myself to a "nothing" Christmas here in
Southampton UK.
Imagine my surprise when my
gifts from Europe did actually get here in January well after Christmas Holidays probably due to the extended closure of all businesses in the city and also the focus on holidays and football matches at home with fans in tumultous
form with whom incidentally I dined and in spite of their bad notices they were in fine form and were perfectly behaved ... so that is the first occasion I have ever dined with the football fans here at Christmas.
