Tiffany Aching, Witch in the making, can’t help her feet and dances across into the dance that is seeing out the Summer and
welcoming in the Winter. During that fleeting moment the Wintersmith, the spirit of Winter, gets a
look at her and well like what he sees. Now Tiffany has the Wintersmith falling in love with her, producing snowflakes that look just like her and her name written in the frost. Tiffany must put an end to this deadly
crush before the Discworld is plunged into one everlasting Winter just because the Wintersmith has a crush.
This is the 3rd Tiffany Aching book for children set in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld. Following on from the Wee Free Men and a Hat Full of Sky the characters are the same and the book nips along at a fair pace. This is a fine introduction to the younger reader to the massive, internationally, bestselling Discworld series. With Pratchett’s typical humour and style it is a book that the older fans of the Discworld will appreciate too.
