Navajyothisree KarunakaraGuru is a Teacher in the absolute sense of the term, in the tradituion of revelations and prophecies, and the acceptance of this in a civilian overwhelmed by chemical and mechanical cleverness is perhaps the initial hurdle before the reader.
Guru was born in a modest family in the
year 1927 on Thursday 1st September at Chandiroor, Cherthala in Alappuzha District of Kerala State, India. He started having spiritual experiences at a very tender
age. With out undergoing any formal education he left his maternal home in the age of 14 and entered in ascetic life in Sivagiri Matt of Sri Narayana Guru and its branches starting from Aluva Advaitha ashram. However his search was continued till he met his Guru in the age of 25 who was a Sufi saint,Khureshi Fakir. Under his guidance, Guru''''s inner life became more vibrant.In the year 1957 he
shifted to a small austere thatched hut made of some tapioca sticks and coconut leaves and remained there for 12
years out of which initial 7 years in atmost solitude and penence. In the year 1969 Guru shifted to Pothecode, 21 Kms North of Thiruvananthapuram, capital city of Kerala,India.
In the year 1973 Guru accomplished spiritual realisation.
Guru initiated a
new spirituality and culture to be passed on to posterity through Santhigiri Ashram. He created a new leniage of Guru-sdisciple order. The book ''''A Dialogue on the Human Prospect contains the teachings of Guru.
