The story revolves around Blade Dunsmuir, an aloof and somewhat hardened individual, and the quiet and very beautiful Jessica Lawrence. Everything started to get complicated when Blade’s recently deceased father Winston Dunsmuir last will was read. Up to the last chance, the old man mustered a plan to manipulate hi beloved son’s life by stating some queer conditions prior to Blade’s acquirement of the vast Dunsmuir
estate. These include the following: (1) David’s one –
year stay on the estate; (2) marriage within the same year; and (3) guardianship to his nephew, Kevin, a boy he knew little of.
The will also mentioned Jessica. The old man requested that she stayed on the estate, also for a year until she finishes cataloging Mr. Dunsmuir’s library. Of course, a rather large amount of money was be quested to her as salary upon her acceptance of the job.
As the two spend more
time living at the same house, their
attraction for each other grew more and more.
On top of everything, they also had to bear with Kevin’s impossible behavior.
At the
end, they were able to conquer all hardships. Kevin opened up and became close with both Blade and Jessica. The realization of why such unusual requests were included on the testament was
known. - - - The clever Winston Dunsmuir had known for a long time that there was an attraction between his son and his trusted employee. He used the content of his will so that even after his death, the chance for the fulfillment of his dream could have an advantage – that is for Blade and Jessica to end up together.
