Piscine Molitare Patel''s (Pi for short) life was linked to Water in many ways. Right from the name Piscine, which he derived from the Paris Pool to the 200 plus days he had spent in the ocean, ship wreck and in company of a Bengal Tiger. There were other
animals too, which were eventually eaten up by the gorgeous animal.
This story is all about will to
survive. and to survive as a
team, whoever be the team mates. In achieving the goal as a team, there are two important things. One is sacrificing the individual interest for the achievement of the greater
objective. Secondly, the leadership, which guides the team to be focused. Further the leader have to have
sound knowledge about the teams behaviour pattern.
This was evident in the 200 odd days Pi spent along with the Tiger in the sea. He had to tame The
beast in order to survive. At the same time he could not dispense it off as without it the will to survive is gone. With the knowledge about animals acquired from his fathers zoo, Pi tames the beast and together they survive.
A book is what you get from it to enrich your self. I rate this one pretty high.
