The 4th book in a fantastic series, Artemis and Butler have been mind wiped by the LEP, and are carrying on there tradition of stealing priceless objects safe and sound (well not so much safe, but for them, I suppose it is), meanwhile underground General Scalene (a goblin commander) has been found in E57 chute, not moving, possibly diseased, Holly Short (fairy soldier) and her commander Julius Root (fairy commander) delve into the chute, equipped with Foaly's (centaur Genius) new improved weapons and armour. By the time they reach Scalene he has been knocked out by a mesmer, he also has a strange tv of some kind strapped around his waist. Quite suddenly Opal Koboi"s (deadly enemy/complete physco) face appears on the screen, but how could that be? Opal was strapped up in the argon clinic, trapped in a coma, but was she, Holly and Root work out the truth and are then trapped in the chute with no communication, Opal's screen leaps onto Root's chest and starts a countdown, a countdown for a bomb.
Root was killed by Koboi and even worse Holly was blamed for the death, Koboi Has not finished yet though, she has 4 more targets to eliminate and a world domination plan up her sleeve, it does not seem possible for Holly, Artemis, Butler and Mulch too foil her plan, with no help from the LEP they must come up with a foolproof plan, and that is what Artemis does best.
