Gabriel garcia marquez is well known latin american writer.he got popularity and awards for his prestigious work ''one hundred years of solitude''.as an indian, i see the story as very fresh to me..surely,like many novels ,it is a family story.but,it differ from others of insight to relationships.
Macconda is the place where the story begins and end.it starts from Buvendia, who made that city.Buvendia was an extra ordinary man.eventhough,a hardworking person ,he liked experiments....He found it from gypsies. His sons are areeliano and arcadio.they grew in solitude. In childhood, they got joy in viewing the miracles showed by gypsies.Teenage brought passion to them.they knew sex and enjoyed the same women.Arcadio made sex his most important instrument for entertainment. His life made so many criticism from the family.he considered as the symbol of strength.Ariliano enjoyed war and became a military person.he got so many sons, arilianos,in different places.Buvendia lost his memory due to the involvement in experiments. His sons lived their own life.At last, next generation also feel this solitude.they see sex as remedy.as the Gypsi wrote,Macconda''s  fall happened.
This story is normal.but, the writting skill of the author make it an epic novel.
